Welcome to my trading blog! (Or, Why I’m Letting You Peek Inside My Trading Notebook)
So, you want to know about my trading, huh?
I get it. The market can be fascinating, frustrating, and exhilarating all at once. And maybe you’ve seen some of my trades and thought, “Hey, they seem to know what they’re doing…”
Well, here’s the thing: I’m no Warren Buffett. I don’t have a crystal ball, and I definitely don’t have all the answers. Truth be told, I’m just a regular person trying to navigate the market and (hopefully) grow my wealth over time.
But, I am passionate about trading. My investing journey started way back in 2001. Actually, it started when I was a kid. My dad had some stock that split, and he gave me some shares. I was hooked. But then…
Life happened (kids!), and I took a bit of a break, but the market kept calling me back. In 2019, I dove back in headfirst, and I’ve been re-hooked ever since. These days, I primarily follow the IBD strategy (that’s Investor’s Business Daily for the uninitiated), which focuses on finding leading stocks with strong fundamentals and technicals.
So, why this blog? A few reasons, actually:
- To Keep Myself Honest: Writing things down helps me stay disciplined and avoid impulsive decisions. It’s like a public accountability partner for my trading.
- To Track My Progress: Wins and losses are all part of the game. This blog will help me see the bigger picture, analyze my performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Because You Asked! Seriously, I’ve had so many people ask me about my trading that I figured, why not create a central hub where everyone can see what I’m up to?
A Few Things to Keep in Mind:
- I’m not a financial advisor. This blog is for informational and educational purposes only. It’s not investment advice, and you should always do your own research before making any trading decisions.
- My trades won’t always be winners. Every trader has losses, and I’m no exception. I’ll share both my successes and failures here, so you can get a realistic view of the trading journey.
- This is a learning process. I’m constantly learning and evolving as a trader. This blog is a reflection of that journey, and I hope you’ll find it valuable.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll join me on this adventure as I navigate the exciting world of trading.
P.S. Feel free to leave comments, ask questions, and share your own thoughts. I’m always open to learning from others!
